I have been unable to blog lately because my husband and I have been so busy working our 1923 house that we bought in June. In the last few weeks we have been restoring all the old windows in the house. The windows were double hung on a pulley system, meaning that there are two window pieces that can both move up and down independent of each other. It's great because you can put just the top one down to get airflow towards the top of the room. Well, this has been a huge undertaking! First, we had to remove all the windows, sand them down and repair them. Now we are priming and painting and hopefully soon we will put them back in! Though it has been a lot of work, I am so thankful that we were able to Salvage these beauties and the history of the house! (This is the before shot, I will post an after when they are done.)
