I have been M.I.A. (the military term, not the singer) :) the last few days because my best friend Lara and her sweet son came to visit and then we had a heat wave that my little girl didn't handle very well. I haven't had much sleep the last few nights, so I have been a little slow getting things done. Over the weekend I watched Marie Antoinette for the second time. I don't generally buy DVDs, but I had to have this one because the set and costume design in this movie is magnificent! I was even happy to watch the movie without being able to hear portions of it while my husband was vacuuming, of course that could have just been because I was so thankful I was watching a movie while he was cleaning. I love you hubby! I'll leave you with a few pictures for now and I'll try to get going on some catch up posts soon!

yes! the, what i call, "i want candy" scene is my favorite part of the movie. With all the vivid colors and desserts and partying... I like to think coppola made the film just so she could bring that scene to life.
i think i just found inspiration for my bday party nxt month :) !
