I find it fascinating that we are so technologically advanced as a society and yet it is becoming so trendy to get "back to basics." Everyone I know wants to home school their children and grow vegetables in their backyard. I want an old typewriter. It must have been nice when the days were simpler, though I couldn't Google all of my questions on any of these!

I learned how to type and be a secretary on these old things - yeah, that dates me, tho I don't feel that old! And we were all thrilled when word processing was invented because it truly made things simpler - try to center a title on a page on an old typewriter - or make carbon copies - or make corrections to 300-page contracts... all things I'm glad to have MSWord handle for me easily now!
All the same, I did buy an old typewriter last year because I missed text you could actually feel on the page! It's fun to drag it out and type things for use in craft projects or even a letter now and then!
