I've been running around getting ready for our opening party this weekend, I'm so excited!
Originally I was planning to do a fashion show at the party, but after realizing that all attendees would have to be present at the same time, I decided that a fashion installation would be better. So I'm going to create a themed backdrop and have live models wearing some of our new fall merchandise. Other fall merchandise with be there to preview. Customers can purchase items from the preview to be picked up or shipped the following week.
As I gathered fall pieces, I began to see a theme emerge. I chose a lot of tailored pieces as well as many ethnic printed pieces. The collection has a sort of Mad Men meets Sedona feel. Classy, tailored pieces in orangish reds, rust and deep earth tones, mixed with my favorite bohemian styles, makes for a well rounded selection. Here are a few rugs that inspired me, as well as a couple of the outfits I've been experimenting with.
