I've been looking through many of the books on my inspiration shelf for things that would fit well on my Color, Type, Print board. The illustrations by Peter Mabie in this children's alphabet book (The A to Z Book) from 1929 are just gorgeous! I choose five of my favorites to show you here.

I came to your site from the ALT class tonight. I am a calligrapher and avid children's book collector, so I just adore the images from this alphabet book. Have you read Alphabeasties? Doesn't have the vintage charm but is fun and graphic.
