Outfit: Printed Pants & Metallics

One of the things you (our readers) have asked for are more outfit posts and practical advice on mixing vintage and new. So we are going to do our best to bring you more of that on a weekly basis. Amy and I were talking yesterday and she got me really excited as she was saying "I just really love putting outfits together, it's an expression of my creativity." Personally, I'm not always in that place...running a business and a home with two kids in tow doesn't leave a lot of time to put cute outfits together, but I'm trying and I'm looking forward to sharing those efforts with you.

First off we have Amy, experimenting with a couple things she's really into right now: printed pants and metallics. I love how she makes metallics work in a more casual way than I'm used to seeing and how she mixes bold stripes on top with a busy print on bottom. She's also wearing a lot of vintage, but it feels fresh because she chose simple pieces.
