End of Summer Vintage Giveaway!

I've been promising a giveaway, so here it goes...

Summer is coming to an end and I have had two pairs of vintage shorts sitting around without a good way to photograph them for the shop (since I don't have one of those fancy dress forms with legs).  So, I think it is time for a giveaway!  The first is a pair of 50's high waisted nautical style and the second was an attempt at a shorts version (or skort) of the bow skirt, but alas no good way to display them.  They are both a size small, 26" waist. These will be given away on a first come, first served basis.  If you want to win, just be the first person to say which pair you want and how you would complete the outfit. Good Luck!

Stay tuned for a special birthday (I'll be 29!!!) giveaway on Tuesday, Sept. 14th!

GIVEAWAY: Multi-Chain Necklaces

Over the weekend I was cleaning out my jewelry box and I realized that I have a lot of things that I never wear, so onward with the giveaways.  Here are three multi-chain necklaces that I made at one time or another.  This giveaway will be on a first come first serve basis.  So just comment if you want one and if you are the first person to ask for it, it's yours!  Refer to them from left to right as one, two and three.  So if you want the one in the middle, say "I'd like number two please" and it's yours.  This one is open to domestic and international readers and I'll cover the shipping, so it's absolutely free! Good luck!

UPDATE: Winners are Deidre, Olivia, Ana! Congrats!!!  Stay tuned for more giveaways soon!

New Bow Skirts and Giveaway Plans

The winner of the yearbook was Whitney!  Congrats!  So, I'd really like to try to give away something little every week, just to make people smile and keep the vintage moving.  I'll spend the weekend cleaning out some more things and looking for giveaways, what fun! In the meantime, I have a lot of new items coming to the shop, including all of these lovely bow skirts.

GIVEAWAY: My Clutter is Your Gain

So, I'm still cleaning house and I'm realizing that I have picked up a lot of neat stuff over the years at estate sales and thrift stores, but I haven't really enjoyed them because they are just piled in a closet or sitting on a book shelf.  I'm adopting a new philosophy of enjoying things for a little while and then passing them on to a new home.  I will be slowly selling things off via ebay and passing things on to friends, but I also thought it would fun to give some things away through the blog.  Please comment and let me know if you are into that.

Let's start with this vintage yearbook from 1947 I picked up at a local estate sale.  The photos in here are great, I just love some of the hairstyles and outfits! It's fun to read the comments too, like the one in the last photo that says "To a swell girl, I wanted to take out time to wish you all the luck." It just sounds so much better than "Stay cool.  Have a great summer. KIT." like all my yearbooks say.  If you want the yearbook, just comment below and I will pick a name out of a hat tomorrow.  This one's just for those that live in the USA, (sorry, it's heavy and shipping internationally will cost me a small fortune) but don't worry international readers, there will be more to come!
