So, I'm still cleaning house and I'm realizing that I have picked up a lot of neat stuff over the years at estate sales and thrift stores, but I haven't really enjoyed them because they are just piled in a closet or sitting on a book shelf. I'm adopting a new philosophy of enjoying things for a little while and then passing them on to a new home. I will be slowly selling things off via ebay and passing things on to friends, but I also thought it would fun to give some things away through the blog. Please comment and let me know if you are into that.
Let's start with this vintage yearbook from 1947 I picked up at a local estate sale. The photos in here are great, I just love some of the hairstyles and outfits! It's fun to read the comments too, like the one in the last photo that says "To a swell girl, I wanted to take out time to wish you all the luck." It just sounds so much better than "Stay cool. Have a great summer. KIT." like all my yearbooks say. If you want the yearbook, just comment below and I will pick a name out of a hat tomorrow. This one's just for those that live in the USA, (sorry, it's heavy and shipping internationally will cost me a small fortune) but don't worry international readers, there will be more to come!

I love this! I'm thinking maybe, just maybe I could use some photos in a pendant. ;)
i'd love the yearbook! and i've adopted your philosophy as well. with the exception of a few treasures, things come and then they go ...
I love old yearbooks! I have my great grandparents' yearbooks and love their slang. They were so adorable and proper!
This is a great idea--I might have to follow suit! Enter me, please. :)
