I made these invites the other day for my soon to be sister-in-law's bridal shower. She and my brother love cooking together, so I thought I would do a vintage cooking themed shower. I made the envelopes out of a large print recipe book from the 1960's that I found at an estate sale. Some of the pages were falling out already, so it was just asking to be salvaged. I bought a huge stack of old index cards at another sale awhile back, so I just printed on them to make personalized recipe cards. I bought the digital files for the labels and the invitation border on Etsy. I used some mustardy yellow string to tie the invite and recipe card together, just to add a little color.

You come up with the best ideas!
Hello,
It is very nice to give recipe card with some valuable tips about the tasty dishes to a new married bride. I like the way you start and then conclude your thoughts. Thanks for this information. I really appreciate your work, keep it up.
You are so clever! I'd be tickled pink if I received a shower invitation as cute and clever as this. Was it tricky making the envelopes?
