DIY: Jester Tights

You could call them two-tone or color block, but jester is just more fun, don't you think?  These are so easy to make and it's a great way to recycle two old pairs of tights, that each have a snag in one leg.  Or, you could buy two new pairs and share with a friend!
  1. Start by cutting apart two pairs of tights at the seam that goes down the front, starting at the waist and up the back.  Alternatively, you can seam rip these if you have a thick pair.
  2. Turn them inside out and pin along the cut edge, doing your best to match them up.
  3. Sew! Be sure to use a stretch or zig zag stitch.  You may need to change the foot on your machine as well, but I did just fine with my regular foot.
  4.  Now put them on and prepare for everyone to ask you where you got your fabulous new tights!

Such a cute blog you have! It was so nice meeting you at ALT, I'm pretty sure we were in the photo styling class together. Thanks for the awesome sewing kit!
